Surveillance and Control System Overview: I-35W Urban Control Demonstration Project

This report presents an overview of the freeway surveillance and control system provided for the I-35W Corridor as part of the Urban Corridor Demonstration Program. This program is a U.S. Department of Transportation effort involving the Federal Highway Administration and the Mass Transportation Administration. The objective of this program is to find ways and means to reduce peak period congestion in urban area transportation corridors.
